Hands-on Eat Well experience

Advanced Sourdough Bread Class | December 1, 10AM–12PM | Albuquerque

Come ready to get your hands in the process, ask questions, and leave with something you can bring back to your own kitchen.

Quick Class Overview:

Join Chef Evangalene at Eat Well ABQ for an advanced, hands-on sourdough inclusion class in Albuquerque. This is Part Two of the Eat Well ABQ sourdough path for students who have completed the foundational Sourdough Bread Class and are ready to keep building their skills.

You’ll explore a different part of the sourdough process and learn how inclusion work changes the way you think about dough, fermentation, shaping, and baking.

Class Details:

  • Location: Eat Well ABQ
  • Address: 9927 Silverton Dr NW, Albuquerque, NM 87114
  • Price: See the live class listing for current pricing.
  • Instructor: Chef Evangalene
  • Class Type: Advanced, hands-on, in-person sourdough inclusion class
  • Experience Level: Advanced Part Two
  • Prerequisite: Completion of the foundational Sourdough Bread Class is required.

What’s Included:

Your Advanced Sourdough Inclusion Class includes hands-on instruction with Chef Evangalene, live guidance through the inclusion process, real-time dough feedback, and the opportunity to ask questions while you work.

You’ll build on the starter care, dough awareness, fermentation language, shaping experience, and baking foundation from Part One so you can focus on the advanced decisions this class is designed to teach.

This is not just a demonstration. You’ll work with the process, observe how the dough changes, and learn what to look for instead of relying on a recipe alone.

What You’ll Learn:

  • How inclusion work changes the sourdough process
  • How to think about additions in relation to dough strength and structure
  • How to read the dough as it develops through fermentation
  • How timing and handling decisions affect the finished bake
  • How to carry the foundational cues from Part One into more advanced work
  • How to ask better questions and make more confident sourdough decisions
  • How Albuquerque’s dry, high-desert climate can affect your process

What to Expect:

Expect a focused, small-group class with clear guidance from Chef Evangalene. This experience assumes you already understand the foundational sourdough process, so the class can spend more time on advanced inclusion work and the decisions that come with it.

You’ll be able to ask questions, work through the process in real time, and get feedback that helps you continue practicing after class.

Who This Class Is For:

This class is for students who have completed the foundational Eat Well ABQ Sourdough Bread Class, home bakers who want to keep progressing, and sourdough students who are ready to explore inclusion work with Chef Evangalene.

If you are new to sourdough or have not taken Part One yet, start with the foundational class first. Part One is required for this experience.

What You’ll Take Home:

Exact take-home items, recipes, notes, and class inclusions are provided in the live product listing for each scheduled advanced class. Review the selected date and booking details before checkout.

A Note From Chef:

Sourdough keeps teaching you as you continue. Part Two is where you can build on the foundation, slow down enough to notice the changes, and start making more intentional decisions with the dough.

Important Note:

Part One is required before booking the Advanced Sourdough Inclusion Class. Class purchases are final and nonrefundable. Please double-check the class date, time, quantity, and details before completing checkout.
