Frequently asked questions

Everything parents and organizers need to know.

What ages is Kids Cooking Camp designed for?

The standard experience is designed primarily for ages 8-14. Groups with younger children may be considered based on the recipe, number of participants, adult support, and Chef approval.

Is this a drop-off class?

No. At least one responsible adult organizer must remain onsite for the duration of the event. Depending on the age range and group needs, Eat Well ABQ may require additional adult support.

What will the kids make?

Mac & Cheese Cooking Camp is the featured option, with other Chef-approved choices including pasta, pizza, cinnamon rolls, cupcakes, and seasonal classes. Final details are confirmed after checkout.

Can we request a custom class?

Yes. Choose Custom Kids Class Request and explain the idea in the planning notes. Approval depends on age range, safety, ingredients, timing, equipment, and complexity. Some requests may require an adjusted quote.

Can you accommodate food allergies?

All allergy and dietary requests must be disclosed before confirmation. Eat Well ABQ will review the request honestly and confirm what can be safely accommodated. A completely allergen-free environment cannot be guaranteed.

Is this good for a birthday party?

Yes. Birthday celebrations are one of the main reasons to book. Celebration setup, a dessert tray, or a celebration cake deposit can be added during checkout.

Why is the maximum ten children?

The microbakery is intentionally intimate. Limiting the group protects safety, oven flow, workspace, and the hands-on attention each young cook receives.

Is the date guaranteed when I check out?

No. Checkout reserves the selected group package. Eat Well ABQ follows up to confirm the final date, time, class theme, adult supervision plan, and event details.

What happens after checkout?

Eat Well ABQ reviews the order and planning details, then contacts the organizer to finalize availability, theme, timing, allergies, add-ons, and class flow.

Give them a kitchen experience they will talk about long after the last bite.
