These are the bright little bakes I make for the table.

I bake these in small batches so the scones stay tender, bright with lemon, and full of blueberry flavor. They are made for coffee, brunch, a sweet afternoon pause, or the kind of gift that feels like you actually thought about it.

I use the Wednesday preorder cutoff to bake each 4-pack fresh for Saturday pickup. If I have extra packs after the preorder bake, I’ll bring them to the Saturday Bread Cart while supplies last.

Chef Evangalene’s freshness lesson

How fresh do these stay?

I bake these Sourdough Blueberry Lemon Scones fresh for Saturday pickup. For my best tender crumb, bright lemon flavor, and blueberry texture, I recommend enjoying them in the first 2–3 days. Keep them covered in a cool, dry place for short-term storage, and freeze any scones you will not finish while they still taste fresh.

Days 1–2 · my brightest bite

This is when I like them best: tender texture, bright lemon, and fresh blueberry flavor.

Day 3 · warm gently

If they have started to lose softness, I warm one gently before serving and keep the rest covered.

Freeze extras early

I wrap or seal the scones well and freeze what I will not eat soon, then thaw and warm only what I need.

My move: enjoy one with coffee, share the rest, and freeze the extras before the last scone becomes a counter fossil.

This is my best-quality guide, not a universal expiration date. If you see mold or notice an off smell, discard them—do not taste-test questionable food.
